I am going to have a rant about mobiles... I understand the need for them, after all I don't know what would happen if I didn't have mine. However, in lectures even if people have their phones on vibrate on the desk it makes a pretty loud noise. Once or twice, is fine but having 15 texts in 10 minutes is not. I am trying to conscentrate as I am sure those people are so I don't understand why they want to disrupt this. Also maths computer labs, answering your phone is fine, but I don't understand why people don't walk out side if it going to be a long call. 15 minutes on the phone, speaking loudly isn't very courteous... understandable if it an emergency but if its just a general chat GO OUTSIDE. Sorry I just was getting really angry. Rant over.

People need to not use mobiles in libraries either.

There are black boxes that purport to interfere with mobile phone reception - maybe carry one around with you?
